Hi all, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have this problem on my BDC, well related to PDC too. In the system log of my BDC, event #5732 keeps on coming up every 5 minutes foolwed by event #5716. It’s complaining about an account already existed. I don’t recall setting up that account. It must have been an application I installed created that. It’s currently disable, but the event keeps on appearing. Is there anyway to fix this issue without removing the account? I tried looking up infor on the net, but no luck. Thank you.

      Couple of things:

Try a manual sync, sometimes this could fix the problem.

      Check out:
      http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;199071

      Beware the wraps and spaces.

Also, I have read somewhere that this can occur if a problem with the RAID-5 Controller, do you have a RAID-5 Controller?

      Thanks,

I have tried manual sync several times, but it didn’t work. The BDC doesn’t have RAID 5 controller. Thank you anyway.

Since you have done both, did you try the LSA fix? Maybe a bad security descriptor. One more question, is the BDC 2000 or NT? The next thing to do is backup your system and reinstall. If you get the problem again, it is a hardware issue.

If your server are NT – reapply SP6a and then remove them from lan & reboot.
Then login with your admin equivalent account & leave them running for 5-6 hrs or so.
Then restart them and connect the lan cords back. The servers will synch & the problem goes away.

Sorry guys, I can’t post any follow up questions, the rating systems is giving me a hard time. I have question to AKA, did you try that in person and was it sucessful?

IT man: I haven’t tried the LSA fix. Again, is it what you tried in person and what was the result? I am not making a decision on the answers at this point. Please disregard my rating.
