    Reporting Server Symantec AV

    Locked

    by bharris027 ·

I need to Uninstall all of Symantec av on a server to install a newer version (10.1 to corporate ver.
However, the last thing I need to uninstall is the reporting server and when I try to remove it, the uninstall gets about halfway to removing the files and then does a rollback with an incomplete uninstall. I have tried to use the Symantec tool cleanwipeutility, and did a manual removal of symantec av provided by Symantec which involved registry deletions, but still having problems removing it. The Symantec folder still exists within the Program Files directory with the Reporting Server folder inside it. Any ideas would be helpful in totally removing it. Thanks.

The Order of Uninstalling is the reason 100%

Dear it is clear that the order is the reason, you have to remove first the reporting tool, then uninstall the SAV Server, anyhow there is nice way , get this goldy software called “Your Un-installer” , from http://www.ursoftware.com this tool can help you to remove software that lost some shared DLL’s due to the wrong sequence (like you did) or due to missing install log, you will be asked later to restart, then install your desired new version, but not that you have to be sure that new SAV clients are updated thru Pushing , instead of going to every PC to do so, wish I could help 😉
