Research into what would be the best software based encryption method?

By cazacu.bogdan ·
Hi there!

I'm doing a research into what would be the best software based encryption method for a medium sized company (notebooks and desktops [and eventually servers]).

I'm looking into client only solutions as well as client-server ones (either free of not - though preferably free).

I would need some pro's and con's on any solutions you might now regarding the subject.

Thanks!

For whole disk, Checkpoint.

Centrally managed, mature product that works well. Has LOTS of features such as encrypting removable devices automatically, etc.

For email, PGP

Symantec also makes a whole disk product, but never tried it.
