Reserving a Network drive

by sr . Updated 20 years, 3 months ago

I have an AD installation, and ofcourse a logon script that maps drives, one of the drives is an F: drive that maps to a shared drive which has some applications on it. The thing is i have a new pc that i need to bring in to work, and it has alot of physical drives, like card readers and stuff like that, and it “steals” the F: drive so the network cant map it.

Is there anyway to reserve the drive so that only the network may use it? There are a lot of different memory sticks that gets used on it, so its not an option to drive map each different device!
