Folks, I have a Dell XPS DC00 running Windows Vista Buisness. The dvd-rw was not working so after doing all the dell tests and uninstalling the device it still would not recognise I decided to reset the NVRAM in the BIOS by using ALT-F & ALT-E.
Now on bootup it tells me that the operating system is missing. I am running vista install dvd but it does not see the hard drive there as i tried using the system restore function from the cd.
How can I get the Bios to pickup the old OS? Please don’t tell me that I have wiped the harddrive?
Cheers
Derek.
