i resized my c drive and it booted great and came up to windows 2003 server, but i cannot see the second half of the drive. i had formatted it also and it was named both are showing as not hidden, disk manager does not come up in this so i cnanot use it to work with it and when i tried diskpart command line the shell just hung there with no prompt to type. i need suggestions on how to make visiablethe second half of my drive.

While GParted is a wonderful free tool, I have had problems in the past with its treatment of windows server file systems. I think this may be related to poor support in GParted for junction points, so you should check that current versions of GParted is good for resizing windows server file systems. The (expensive) commercial alternatives do have this sussed in their latest versions.
