Restarting the Server

By bob.beck ·
I'm running a Win2k server with Metaframe 1.8 and the users periodically are getting out of memory messages.
Is there a recommended restart schedule for this setup/server?

I have looked on Citrix, maybe my search string is weak. I didn't find anything there. I'll try the other sites. Daily seems excessive. I'll see if anyone else indicates daily.

First off how many users and how much ram you have loaded on that server? "You can count on needing roughly 10MB per user if not more. This can vary considerable depending on your applications." We have 1GB of ram installed and around 11-14 users on the system. I would add more ram if you can.

We have 1.5gb ram in a dual processor box. But you're right, more memory you can afford the better when running Citrix.

Thanks for the link, very interesting. I'm going to consider scheduled reboots even for our smaller sites.
