Restoration of doskey

By wolf_47 ·
How do I regain the functionality of the "doskey" command. The command was inadvertently made non-functional when I included the name "doskey" in a macro and then also apparently deleted it.
"doskey /reinstall" does not seem to correct the problem.

not sure how it would be lost in this situation, but you could extract it from the cabinet files from your windows cd if it was taken off your hdd.

The above is a general guide on doskey.exe ; at the end there's the cabinet file location depending on your version of windows.

generally most people place the doskey syntax in the autoexec.bat file and load it before windows.
