Restore from an oversized Ghost image file

I have an 11GB image file from Norton Ghost 11.0 that I need to restore. For some reason, the Ghost CD confirms that the image is valid, but then crashes after restoring the first 2GB of the image.

According to some of the online guides, the best option is to break the image file up into 2GB chunks using Ghost Explorer, but the file is too large to open in Explorer.

Are there any other methods of restoring this image file I can try?
