Ok, so here’s the problem: any new hardware I try to install makes the usual Windows New Hardware appear, not a problem, however it says that the data is invalid even though I know that the hardware works by checking it on another computer. I’ve scanned my computer for viruses and spyware etc but nothing came up but I’d say it’s pretty obvious there’s a problem. Most annoyingly I can’t restore back to an earlier time because all my restore points have gone, all but the most recent ones. Making the furthest I can go back just under 2 weeks.
Any ideas what’s going on? I’m getting a horrible feeling that I’m going to have to format my computer and start again.
