Restore Public Folder

By FrAz ·

One of our clients inexplicably lost one Public Folder.
I should have it on backup (boot-drive, IS and System
State with NTBackup).
The server is a Win2k SP2 DC with E2k. It also serves as
DNS-, DHCP-, and Fileserver

My question is: "How do I get this One folder back to our
client, without restoring the whole IS?".

I tried to recover it to another Win2K Server, but that
won't work.

I'm clueless.
Please help.

What do you mean the client lost the public folder? The folder is gone only if the Exchange administrator deletes it. OR!! The client removed it from their profile or they have lost permissions to that public folder. Just re-add that folder to their profile and see what happens.

There really isn't anyway to dig through the information store, but my sure do have a lot of eggs in one basket!

The client (1 server, 6 PC's) probably deleted one folder from the Public Folders. Not the whole Public Folder.

I can't find the solution, the client stopped bugging me, so let's close this question...
But it still buggs me....
