By clifton.gerald ·
My computer settings were changed remotely and I have lost my administrator status and cannot use system restore or change it myself as netscape was installed and will not let me in?

You have a couple of problems if your computer was changed by a remote user without your permission. If I were you, I'd reformat the hard drive, reinstall the operating system, and make sure I had a good firewall in place.

But perhaps I'm misreading your question, and you can elaborate a little on what you have and what happened.

I'm with Max. You've got bigger fish to fry. Anyway, if you're using w2k or xp with ntfs then get a copy of NT Offline Password Recovery from here:

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

Reset the admin account, get back in, reset your account and then lock that system down.

Cheers.
