I am working on a disaster recovery solution for our department. While it is relatively easy to do a restore onto a system that is a duplicate of the one that is down, it is not so easy to take the image of the down system, and restore it to another system that is similar but not a duplicate of the original system.
Does anyone have insight into what applications and/or steps I would need to do in order to be able to restore an image of one system onto another system with similar but somewhat different hardware? Thanks.
