It goes through all the motions of restoring the C drive and installing the Vaio branded applications just fine but here’s my issue.
How do I get it to shutdown when sysprep is finished?
When it automatically goes on as Administrator, a small window pops up that has two drop-down menus. One says Out-Of-Box-Experience and below that it says Restart.
If I’m right I should leave the top menu as is, and select shutdown from the bottom menu.
I tried that operation and I received an error I didn’t recognize from Windows Defender and it recommended that I restart the machine. Then it did so automatically. Upon restart it promptly informed me that Windows Vista could not be installed and that I needed to run setup again. Is there any way around this or am I just stuck?
I’m trying to prep this machine for a new owner and would like to shut it down so that it starts the Out-of-box GUI upon first boot.
