I have a E1705 with XP pro. I did a complete backup of everything on it using the backup utility that comes with windows(1st problem maybe?). The problem is that when i tried to restore this backup the computer would start to boot then flash a quick blue screen then reboot again. Won’t boot in safe mode either. So I figured I could do a clean install and then restore from there. All goes well, untill it reboots again. Wouldn’t you know, didnt work. I was wondering if anyone knows exactly how I am supposed to be using the backup utility to restore the drive. I figure I am using the wrong parameters.
