Restoring Default Dektop Icons

By jwblaylock ·
I am the help desk technician for a small to medium hospital. I was helping a user re-direct his my documents folder to the server so that his folder would be backed up every night. I deleted the desktop folder and received the error message that folder could not be sent to recycled bin ... I deleted the folder. My question how do i restore the default my document folder on the desktop?

You haven't mentioned which OS you are using. If it is XP, you can go to display properties, desktop tab, customise desktop and select My Documents.

Otherwise, you can create a desktop shortcut to your my documents folder.
