The easiest way is to make an image of your hard disk with a program like 'Ghost'.
Instead of restoring you can then completely re-install your hard drive with the image you took and it will not even take 30 minutes.

More info needed. What happened? What caused it to go wrong? What OS is booting now?

I take it you installed Win98 after WinNT. To restore the NT Boot Loader, do the following:

1) Insert Windows NT Setup Boot Disk (Disk 1) and boot from it.

2) Insert disk 2 when prompted.

3) When setup option appears, press R for repair.Four options will appear and all four will be selected by default. Deselect all four options except "Inspect Boot Sector". Go through like setup until Disk 3.

4) Insert Disk 3. If you have ERD press Enter. Otherwise press ESC to allow setup to locate the repair info. Restart computer after finish. The boot loader should now appear.
