Ok i have this small problem I need some help with.I have a small network setup with active directory and windows 2000 workstations for learning puposes. My hard drive on a Win2k workstation failed last week so maxtor is sending me a replacement.I backed up everything last month to a folder on the server.I know i should have used Ghost in the first place,but how do you learn these things ,by making mistakes where its not critical.
Now when i get the new hard drive i want to restore everything from the last backup.One problem I know when i install windows 2000 pro on it i am going to get a new sid.I know for a fact because of this some of my programs are going to ask me for the license keys again How can i avoid this.
When I installed windows the last time I installed it using the domain administrators account.
