Restrict user in accessing Registry

Hi,
I have installed windows2000 o\s.I want to restrict user in accessing user in windows 2000.Please tell me the steps to do this...

the simplest way, create a GPO at the user_level in "don't run the specified programs" and add the registry.exe.

If you want to restrict the user from making changes to the registry, then in your Group Policy settings from Active Directory to the following:

- Navigate to the Group Policy settings screen and click the Edit button to edit the policy
- Under User Configuration, open the Administrative Templates folder, then the System folder
- On the right under the Policy column, double-click Disable registry editing tools
- Click the Enable radio button.

This will prevent users from editing the registry.
