Resume Soft Skills

By ProblemSolverSolutionSeeker ·
I would like to add something here. I am noticing a lot of the comments referring to not even getting the interviews.

I see my share of resumes as I network and find work and find work for others.

I gotta say it - most resumes are horrible. As an avid reader, and wannabe writer, I know deep down this is due to the average person's diet of junk media and lack of true literary food.

But I am not out to change your reading habits! I do suggest that you have someone critique your resume - make it presentable - and make it appear that you are no just a geek that has technical skills!

Simple items - spelling, compound sentences, consistency of tenses (look it up), active tenses. Purposely make the job descriptions vary in length.

And, oh yes. Add the soft skills. If you have to ask how to add these to your resume, I think you may need to work on your soft skills, anyways.

This is coming from someone that has made all of the mistakes you can think of!
