Mac OS

Return my windows to their original smaller size.

By dlsosne ·
I have had a Mac Book now for 2 days. I am accustomed to a PC. This
is VERY new. I did something inadvertently yesterday that has made
each winow that opens TOO big. It has given me a scroll bar at the
bottom that was not previosly there. As a result to do any reading I
must be constantly scrolling.

I have gone through each item that I can find anywhere to make
achange and fix this without success...any one who can help?

And it sounds as if you've reduced your screen resolution which has consequently "pushed" the edge of your screen out of view.

Find wherever your screen resolution controls are and increase it, one step at a time, until your screen view returns to normal.

Good luck!

Thanks, this did solve my problem once I understood that smaller resolution actually means larger numbers.

Doesn't 'Education' = a Thumb?

Wasn't really "ground-breaking" info, but the resolution/screen-size concept WAS new to you.

Thanks anyway, for the thanks.

double-click on the bar at the top of the window

That will either reduce the entire window to that bar, or else "restore" the window to its previous size, in Windows-ese. I haven't used a recent Macintosh, but my impression is that they rarely eliminate such features, although they occasionally improve upon them.
