Revision level not known

By lkrolak ·
I have a computer in an active directory network. The computer was removed from ad at the server and when I try to make the computer part of a workgroup, I get the revision level is not known.

What started this whole thing was the machine could not log into the network.

Thank you.

Try to logon as a local administrator, as you computer is no longer a part of the domain that you used to authenticate to. The revision error is refering to the version of the active directory information that has been replicated to you. NOTE** - Drop the computer off of the domain before you delete the account. This will avoid this sort of the thing the future. When you try to add the computer back, you must create a name, let the new name replicate and then change the name on the computerand add it back in to the domain.
