Right Click, Drop Down Arrows Not Working in MS Office Programs

Hi,

When I try and use the shortcut menu in Excel, Publisher, Picture Manager – the menu flashes and then is off. I can not get it to stay down. This also happens when clicking on buttons on the tool bar. For example, in publisher if I click on Wordart – I usually get a little menu to edit etc.. instead I get a move here, copy here. In Excel, I can’t right click to insert a row…

I have repaired my MSOffice programs and reinstalled my mouse. The right click works in the non microsoft programs.

It is extremley frustating as I am having trouble with sorting, changing fonts etc.

the shortcut menu button works on the keyboard, so I do have this capability.

Is there a way to get the functionality back?
