I’m sorry to say that our friend, Joe Rosberg, aka Maxwell Edison, has passed on, unexpectedly.

Joe and I exchanged many emails over the past few years and I got to know him quite well through them. He was an avid music lover, excellent writer and had a great sense of humor. I will miss him very much.

Joe/Maxwell challenged our long-held political beliefs (I’m sure you all remember). Sometimes, we got stabbed too, ouch, but he really was a person that understood the intentions of our founding fathers and his views never strayed from those intentions. He was a very principled man and I greatly admired him for that. He sure opened my eyes to a lot of things.

His service to our country and the leadership he offered to many young men in the Boy Scouts is representative of what a good and kind man he was. He practiced what he preached. There are few among us that have lived such an exemplary life.

I hope Joe is at peace now. I will cherish the memories I have of him.

And we enjoyed it. I've missed him. Commiserations to family and friends.

Sorry to hear that we've lost another old timer

by BFilmFan In reply to RIP TR member Joe Rosberg ...

I had a lot of banter with Joe over the years. While we had a lot of common experiences with both of us being vets, computer nerds and science fiction enthusiasts, we had some memorable disagreements over the years. I considered him a friend.

I am sorry to hear that he has passed away and will have a shot of Kentucky bourbon in his honor this evening at the weekly office Friday gathering.

This should remind all of us to stay in touch with each other, as you never know when you won't have the opportunity to speak with your friends.

That is so true BFilmFan

It really is a shame that our little community that we once had here just died out. We all had so much fun, even though there would be disagreements. I know Joe always enjoyed stirring the pot and I enjoyed reading all of the diverse views of everyone that participated in the many discussions we all had.

We all should stop back from time to time and keep in touch while we can.
