Roaming Profile in Windows 2000

I’m trying to create a roaming profile for 1 user. I have a Windows 2000 Server with windows 2000 workstations. I read articles’ 302082 and 142682 from the microsoft knowledge base on how to create roaming profiles. Still I can’t get it going. Article 302082 talk about renaming a *.dat file, that i cannot find. Can someone point me to an article or help me create this roaming profile?
