Got a problem which really makes me crazy.
My roaming profiles are no longer being saved to the server.
There hasn’t been a change on the server, neither on the workstations. Anyhow, the following is getting reported in the userenv.log:
USERENV(2a4.2a8) 11:41:15:497 UnloadUserProfileP: Didn’t unload user profile
USERENV(2a4.2a8) 11:41:17:293 SetNtUserPolTime: couldn’t get file attributes
USERENV(2a4.2a8) 11:41:17:293 UnloadUserProfile: Failed to SetNtUserPolTime, hr = 80070002
USERENV(2a4.2a8) 11:42:25:559 ProcessAutoexec: Cannot process autoexec.bat.
USERENV(2a4.2a8) 11:42:25:575 Profile was loaded but the Ref Count is 1 !!!
The eventlog reports 1517-events:
Message: Windows saved user %1 registry while an
application or service was still using the registry
during log off. The memory used by the user’s registry
has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it
is no longer in use.
GPResult.exe displays no errors, the connection to my network is bloody fast.
Using UPHCLEAN doe not resolve the matter because it works around the problem but still the profile does not get saved correctly.
Since this issue affects 20 machines and about 30 useraccounts, recreating all the profiles is no option.
Config WinXP SP2 with all updates released installed.
Can’t figure this one out.
