Roaming profiles

We have win2k and use local profiles for all users, when I go to Mycomputer\properties\userprofiles they say local which is correct and the roaming profile option is greyed when i right click the user so i dont get an option to select roaming, how can we change the users profile to roaming which is waht we are thinking about?? is it easy?
