If you are not using system profiles then you will need to use newprof and profgen utils which are available on the Exchange Resource Kit.

You can also use the IExpress Deployment Kit (from the MS site), which uses these tools and compiles them into a nice executable file which you can include in your logon script.

When a user logs on it takes the %username% environ variable and uses it to create the messaging profile on the fly (you may need to modify Win95 to create this variable)

There are 3rd Party tools around which will do the same job but of course you $$ for them.

You can email me direct if you want a copy of the IExpress Deploy Kit.

Hope this helps.

You have to set up a mailbox profile in Outlook for each person who is going to use the PC. When setting the profile up you must be logged in as that person to have access to their mailbox.

There are options to default to a specific profile or be prompted for which user's mail to open.

You can create the profiles under control panel/mail fax - show profiles.

You also have to go into Outlook/Options/General tab and check the startup settings to prompt for a profile, otherwise it defaults to the first profile set up.

We do this on all our floating laptops. It is a pain when there a a few people floating between machines.

Besides the IE Deployment Kit, take a look at a product called Rover 3.3 from Aspeon Software. It will allow users to access email from any workstation.
