I’m setting up a new Windows 2003 domain and new desktop images. I have this problem where whenever I log into a newly built machine with a newly created account the profile defaults to using the windows classic theme, but only when the account has been set up with a roaming profile in AD.
I test it the follwing way:
– Create 2 new users
– Configure one of them with a Roaming profile path in AD.
– Log in with each onto a freshly built machine.
The account with roaming profile gets the classic theme and the account with no roaming profile gets the XP theme.
It can’t be getting this setting from the roaming profile on the server as it’s a newly created account and doesnt have any data in it’s profile folder on the server yet.
Any ideas?
