Roaming profiles ignore Usr Mgr settings

In User Manager I have defined the following location for my users to have their respective profiles to be stored:
\\Servername\Profiles$\Username

However when they logoff their machines their profiles are be saved to their home directories. Istheir any way that I can force Windows 98 to go to the location I specifty in User Manager?
