Roaming Profiles on Win2K Client

By islamtariq ·
I have NT4.0 based network (Clients/Servers). Now we are adding new WIN2K Professional workstations to same network. The users with roaming profiles on NT4.0 Server and not automatically updated from WIN2K Professional machines. I know there are some registry settings that need to be modified resolve this...but don't know which ones and what settings? Any idea?... Thanks

Roaming Profiles on Win2K Client

Dunno of any such registry settings. Basically a profile is a combination of a user account and a TYPE of DESKTOP. W2K and NT desktops are totally incompatible in that sense, there is no way AFIK that they can be shared. So if you want to continue roaming, make sure each user roams over only one type of OS....

Have fun,
