RockRidge CD on Windows

By alfredohb ·
Does anybody know how to get full access to a *X RockRidge format CD under Win32? (Reg hack, driver, util, ...)

I need full view of this CD across my MS network, but I only see truncated 8.3 format file names!

Of course, I can't install a CD in the machines which need to see this CD.

Thanks

This problem can be caused by storing shortcuts on an NTFS partition after
having disabled 8.3 name creation with the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation registry
key.
This problem can also be caused by storing shortcuts on a NetWare file server.
NetWare supports long file names through the OS/2 namespace. It does not support
8.3 file name creation.

Try copying the files to a FAT partition and share the drive and run install from there

Good luck

Can't do it. Reason:

RockRidge: An extension to ISO9660 that permits case-sensitive Unix-style filenames. RockRidge also records Unix-style permissions and symbolic links, so it is a lot more powerful than plain ISO9660.
RockRidge discs can be read by DOS/Windows machines, but without the extra information.

Got that here: http://arch.freeciv.org/discussion-199810/msg00119.html
