I have a main exchange server and a recovery server that has same org name and site name, but are not joined. Here is a scenario,
1. i restore the priv.edb on the recovery server.
2. Since the restored priv.edb is 1 day old its not going to be current. So i copy the transaction logs over to the recovery server.
3. I run the “eseutil /r /ispriv” tool and restart the server.
4. i am expecting that the logs be replayed with the latest information from the main exchanger server.
5. when i the recovery server is restarted it does not contain any new mails played from the transaction logs.
Why doesn’t the recovery server replay logs from the main exchanger server? What do i need to do to replay current logs from the main exchanger server to the recovery server? Or is it, that recovery servers can’t replay logs from main exchange servers?
Any help will be appericiated.
