Rotating Banner w/ links - Shared Border

By knoblor ·
Using Java, I have created a rotating banner. As the banner cycles/rotates there is a different link associated with each new banner. I need to be able to set this up as a Shared Border or Include page (I?m using FrontPage 2000) so that it will be on all of our sub-webs pages. The problem is that when you set it up it goes out and takes out the part of the code (java) that it thinks it needs to create the ?top.htm?. It leaves the part of the code that calls the function ?onload=rotate?. I havetried to copy the entire code (including the ?onload=rotate) into the hidden file it creates (?top.htm?) for the shared border but when you view the page in the browser it doesn?t rotate. HELP!!!!! Any suggestions???

this may not be the answer you're looking for, but FrontPage is well known for "re-writing" code so you cannot do what you want - and what would be simple in any other method.
My suggestion is to dump FrontPage and use DreamWeaver or a text editor for better control.
Since you didn't paste any code, I cannot offer anything more specific.
