I have two (2) Cisco 2500 routers used for my lab. On one of the routers, the router reports an error with the flash image. It goes through the POST stage and gets stuck at the point “Press Return to Continue”. It does not allow me into the User Exec mode neither would it allow me use the Cntl+Break to go into the ROM Mode. I need to get into the priviledge Exec mode to download an IOS.
The second router displays funny characters as soon as it is powered up. This continues forever. Nothing can be read on the screen. It’s all garbage.
Does anyone have an idea of how to resolve this problem? I appreciate your support.
