    To all,
    Im not so understand that the routing function that in my DSL 500T, what is the purpose of having this routing? Can please tell me how to use and preferably giving me some example.

      A router is a Hardware Firewall type device

      They perform a similar function as a Software Fire Wall but in a dedicated device that is constantly running outside of the computer so it is always on.

        to run off the same internet connection.

        you went with a model that doesn’t support wifi, or you could have wireless connectivity as well, for both laptops and desktops that you don’t want to run network cables to.

      A router enables devices that are on disparate networks to communicate with each other (in the case of a home pc/ network and the Internet).
      If your 500T is the sole Internet connected router, you would want to leave the routing function on that router as ‘default routing’. That will forward any packet (also referred to as Check out Wikipedia for a little 101 on routing.
