Hi all,
Scenario: need to configure W2k Server to act as NAT Router to connect public (cable internet access)to private lan.
What is Known:
1)need two nic cards installed in W2k Server(1 connected to private LAN& 1 connected to public internet WAN)
2)WAN interface is configured with static IP, Subnet Mask and Def. Gateway issue by ISP
3)LAN interface is configured with generic Internic IP: 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 with no Default gateway entered per Instructions.
4)DHCP Client/Server services are started
5)DNS Client/Server services are started
6)ICS Service is Started
7)Routing & Remote Access is enabled and both public (wan) and private (lan) interfaces have been configured as such:
WAN int: set as public withTCP/UDP Translation. IP info staticly set with Info
provided by ISP.
LAN int: IP=192.168.0.1 mask=255.255.255.0 def gateway=0.0.0.0
8)All LAN clients are configured to use DHCP.
with scope IP start=192.168.0.2 mask 255.255.255.0 End IP=192.168.0.255
Those are the Facts! Here’s my problem:
None of my LAN clients receive IP via DHCP. None of my LAN clients can access the internet.
