Routing Specific Tasks from Lists

In my meetings, we will come up with 1000 tasks (maybe that's high) that are assigned to various individuals. Typically, we would email a Word document (or excel spreadsheet) with each task and who it is assigned to, when it is due, etc. It seems to me, I should be able to route just the tasks that a person is assigned to, but I haven't figured out how to do it. Heck, I'd even be willing to use MS-Access. Is there an answer in the great continuum of knowledge?
