RPC error opening user manager on BDC

In one of our sites we have a BDC and a few member servers in our domain. When we try to open up user manager on the BDC we get an error "The Remote Procedure Call Failed". If we try on a member server we get in, but it takes a few hours to reflect the changes. We are connected to the PDC through a T1 going through a Bordermanager VPN. No other office has this problem.

The RPC connection is established on a very stable (with no time outs) physical connection. Check if the connection is stable (you can see it if you synchronize entire domain from the PDC and look on the event log of the BDC for Rdr errors.)
If everything is ok, then recheck your routing table and check possible bottlenecks in a specific route. If everything is ok, then there is a possibility of dropped packets due to a not fine working net card from the bdc side. Change the card and reconfigure TCP/IP and apply a SP again.

Thank you, all other comunication was working. I would not ever have thought reinstalling the NIC would do it.
