    RPC Failure x64

    I get a remote procedure call failed when I try to install the microsoft network client for Windows x64. Can anyone help?

      I assume you are using Windows XP x64 edition?
      Is the PC part of a domain or workgroup?
      Does the PC have an IP address to enable RPCs to be transmitted ok? Run IPCONFIG to check.

      I have a DHCP address given by my home router. It is part of the default microsoft workgroup.
