RSS Feeds for education

By quentinisnow ·
Recently I was asked by a customer if they could organize a feed where their students could get a feed for a course at specific timed intervals starting at lesson one.

Students started at all different times and so the typical blog or RSS feed would not work as lesson one might be right back in the archives.

I did a lot of searching and the best I could come up with was an email autoresponder but this was not satisfactory because they did not want the students to add their email to a form and also deliverability was poor due to spam filters.

So I went on the search for an RSS Autoresponder and realized that there are not many out there and the ones that were are very expensive or way to complicated.

I found one called RSS Response and it works perfectly. Are there any others you could tell me about?

RSS Autoresponders

by raherb In reply to RSS Feeds for education

I've been using RSS Autoresponders for a while for populating my blogs with content. I was using RSS Autopublisher until they disappeared and i've since joined with RSS Response and found it to be an excellent service with a great and ever-expanding feature list. The guys at RSS Response are very pro-active with customer feedback and have actually added some of my suggestions as features. I highly recommend this system which is head and shoulders above any others i've used.

If you join you'll see they have many different ways for my subscribers to retrieve the xml feed and a very neat broadcast utility for blasting out messages.

When you join you automatically become an affiliate too which earns 25% and is paid straight into your Paypal account.

There's a free campaign as an affiliate too which is a bonus.

5 stars from me!
