Rules Wizard in Outlook 2000

By merlinux ·
Are there any known bugs with the rules wizard in Outlook 2000? I've created rules for my TechRepublic e-mail subscriptions to move them from my inbox to specific folders. These rules work in Outlook Express but not Outlook 2000. When I click on theoption "Run now" it appears as if the job is done but when I check the messages are still in my inbox. I'm tempted to re-install Outlook. Is there something I'm overlooking?

I can only think of 3 possibilities:
1. Your criteria may have been either not specific enough or too specific.
2. In the next to last step in setting up a rule (where you click the Finish button), there is check box labeled "Run this rule now on messages already in "foldername" (where folder name is the folder highlighted in the Folder list when you started the Rules Wizard). Did you check this box?
3. You did check this box, but you had a folder other than your Inbox highlighted when you started the Rules Wizard.
Hope this helps.
