use the dir command, and after you have typed in your search critera for files append this to the end " > filelist.txt"

So your command for searching and writing all files to a text file would look like this:

c>dir *.* \LOFF > filelist.txt

the output would be the directory listing of "D:\LOFF to the text file "filelist.txt"

I use X-Setup Pro, the ultimate tweaking tool, and enable the "Print Content" options to the context menu of folders.

Of course, if you want a file of this, just set up a new printer as "Print to File"

It's free, Google the name to find it.
