What type of Domain do you have? If it's a Win2k
domain you can remove the run command through Group Policy

If your using Win2k, log on as Adminstrator, open group policy snap in., open User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Start Menu | enable Remove Run.

It sounds like you are using some sort of Windows Domain Servers. If this is true, you can use a Domain group policy. I'm not sure where the policy is located, but it should be under User and Group manager. If you are using Active Directory thereshould be a Group object that you can modify.

If all else fails you could create a reg file and get it to run in the login script but I would only suggest this as a last resort as it will affect ALL users of the workstation including the administrator. All the info on the regedit can be found at the link below

hope this helps.

Even if you disable the run command, user can still use the command prompt or taskmgr (New Task) to execute the net send messaging.

you should rather remove/deny them access to the NET application.
