When I log on to my Win98 machine, from time to time I get this error:
Runtime Error 216 at 00002021
There is only an ok button, push it and the box goes away. But when I try to run a program, either from the desktop or startmenu, it comes back and the program does not open.A few details of my computer:
Pentium II 350, 64mb SDRAM, 8.4gb HD partitioned into C:\ (1.99gb) and D:\ (5.85) Zip 100 (e:\) and a 32x Cd-Rom (f:\) virtual cd-rom (g:\) and the 3.5 floppy (a:\)
This does not happen offten by renders the user unable to do things for a period of time (unknown) After numerous restarts and cold starts it goes away, temporarily.
Nothing has been recently installed that would cause this. Aside from wiping the slate clean (formatting and reinstalling Win98) How can this be corrected?
