run todays ms updates from a batch file

I have extracted septembers Ms patches in a folder and i am trying to find out what exactley i need to do so that i can run them all locally with one click

Enable automatic updates?

For some, it is a bandwidth consideration.

But there is going to be no way to tell which updates are required or not, which is why MS has that huge backend for Update. Unless on can still search for required updates, but install manually. haven't tried this since Win 98, though.

Determining what one <i>really</i> needs is either easy or hard. Just critical updates? Easy. Testing before deployment? You've got some learning ahead.

Installing from some sort of script which does not have to call each file by name - I have no idea how to do that.
