Am getting a error of “run.dll as an app, and it is stopping computer from running, have to manualy shutdown and then reboot, which causes it to run the error checking on drive and shows several truncated files and fixes them, and then reboots. Computer will run for a few hours and then do it again. I have ran “msconfig” and checked the startup tab and not listed there.
This is on laptop that originally had XP Home, that has been erased and reformatted and had XP Pro/ sp2 installed and all updates installed from Microsoft site. Did install a CD that had different drivers that came with the lap top, one of them was for the ATI video card?
What can I do to stop the “run.dll as app” coming up an as such stop the rebooting?
