RUNDLL Problem

By jtpaderes ·
I'm using Windiws 2000 Server edition. I scan my pc for Spywares, and it detected two (2) unknown programs which is possible spywares. I deleted this programs. When I boot up, I've got this messages that "something" such as a path for a program or module is missing.

Now my problem is if how can i iliminate that path to my rundll? so for the next time I log-on this will not display again. And sometimes, after the situation mentioned above, my pc is automatically restarting prior to displaying a countdown.

I really need your help guys. Thank in advance.

This is most likely due to the program trying to start when Windows boots but some file(s) is missing because you removed the program.

1. Run Regedit and delete the offending residual of the program.
Start > Run > Type REGEDIT and navigate to
HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run and from the right pane, delete the program.

2. Run MSCONFIG and uncheck the offending startup program.
Copy MSCONFIG file from a Win XP (or Win9 workstation and paste it in System32 folder in the Win2K Server.

In 1, you do not delete the program. You delete the Value associated with the program.
Highlight the value and hit Delete key on the KB.

I read my answer and I realized that OR was missing between 1 and 2.
You run either one not both.

A message box appears after the booting, and messages goes like this: in the title bar is RUNDLL, and in the message: Error Loading C:\Progra~1\Newdot~1\newdot~1.dll below this line displays The specified module could not be found.
This is the content of the error messages. Thanks..
