Rundll32 Problem

Hi i recently had a virus, its been cleaned using AVG 6.0, But when i try to open any programs in win xp pro,It just says that the file is missing: "windows cannot find the file"

Anyone got any ideas, it driving me mad, i dont want to reistall windows, because i have got a lot of data on my drive that i cannot get back, and i dont have a writer at the moment

I don't know if your system is stable enough to do this, but if it is, then open Regedit and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\exefile\shell\open\command

The Default value should be: "%1" %*

Some virii write themselves into this entry, so that EVERY time an EXE is ran, the virus launches itself. So, if your Default value is something like: %windir%\virusfile.exe "%1" %

Then just change the Default value to the one I listed above.
