running a small network with 2 adsl lines

I am planning to have a small LAN of 10 pcs, and will have 2 ADSL 8Meg lines for internet access. I have 2 mode/routers with 4 port switches, and 1 24 port unmanaged switch. My first thought was just to stick 4 pcs on one ADSL line, 6 pcs into the switch which goes to the other ADSL line. I was wondering how different it would be to connect both the ADSL lines ( each one via a router/modem) to the 24 port switch, meaning all my pcs share the 2 lines. This seems to me to be more flexible, and make better use of the available bandwidth. Would this even work? would i have to give each router a different gateway address, and add both gateways to the network properties of each computer? Since the switch is unmanaged, will the lines get used fairly, and if one line is getting busy, will my network automatically make use of the other line, or do i need better hardware to do this?
